I’m Brenden. I build with AI.

I’m a software engineer at Semgrep, working across developer tooling, AI/ML benchmarking, and applied AI while pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science.

01 / Context

A practical builder with a research habit.

I work at the seam between software engineering and applied research.

My background spans data infrastructure, backend engineering, and AI-oriented systems. I care about trustworthy, dependable AI systems built with well-crafted software that make a team move with more confidence.

Outside of product work, my graduate computer science studies have led me toward explainable AI, explanation drift, and ways to monitor model behavior over time.

  • Applied AI and model explainability
  • Cloud infrastructure and GitOps workflows

02 / Experience

A timeline of compounding systems work.

A high-level view of the roles and study that shaped how I build.
